New York Building Congress to honor Victoria Cerami at Industry Recognition Gala

November 20, 2019

Prominent building industry leaders will gather for the New York Building Congress’ Industry Recognition Gala on November 20, 2019 at the Grand Hyatt in midtown Manhattan. Hosted annually, the Industry Recognition Gala is the premier event honoring the ongoing work of New York City’s construction, design and real estate industry and recognizing the contributions of some of New York’s most prominent leaders. This year’s Guests of Honor are Victoria J. Cerami, CEO, Cerami & Associates and Mitchel W. Simpler, PE, FAEC, partner, Managing Partner Emeritus, Jaros, Baum & Bolles.

Victoria Cerami was chosen because of the critical role she played in bringing acoustic to the forefront of architecture. Before there was Cerami, there was little thought given to the way a building would sound or how acoustics was considered part of the overall user experience.

“It’s significant for an acoustical engineer to be recognized by the building industry – this award demonstrates how far the field of acoustics has come and that it is now a critical dimension in every new building”, said Victoria Cerami when presented with this honor.

Cerami’s imprint can be felt through the signature voices she and her company bring to such iconic NYC buildings as Manhattan West, One Vanderbilt, The Ford Foundation, NYU Langone Kimmel Pavilion, Moynihan Train Hall, LaGuardia Airport, MoMA and World Trade Center redevelopment.

We hope to see you there!
