Victoria J. Cerami
Cerami has earned a reputation as one of the premier acoustical and technology engineering firms in the country. Under Victoria Cerami’s leadership, the firm has grown to be the largest woman owned firm working on building design projects globally.
The firm has worked with world class developers and architects on project designs such as the World Trade Center, Museum of Modern Art, Comcast Innovation Center, FaceBook and Google, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Princeton University.
Victoria is passionate about the firm’s role in public outreach with a focus on mentorship and sponsorship of women. She sits on the Board of ACE (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) which mentors inner city high school students. The firm sponsors a woman each year entering college to study mechanical engineering in honor of her Father, Vito Cerami.
Victoria is also a board member for the New York Building Congress, member of the University of Hartford’s Board of Regents, Co-Chairwoman of the Council of Industry Woman, and past Chairwoman of the University of Hartford’s Institute of Science and Technology Building Initiative Program.
Victoria holds a Master’s in Business from MIT’s Sloan School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford.

James Perry
Jim has 17 years of experience providing acoustical and vibration consulting for a variety of project types. Over the years, he has gained special expertise in areas of mechanical system design and vibration control, especially in the design of large scale developments, residences, and healthcare facilities.
Jim’s wealth of knowledge enables him to manage projects of any type and scale. He can readily apply theory, together with years of practical applications on projects, to advise a client on the spot. This ability saves both time and money during the design process. While Jim’s experience can certainly help solve a problem, more importantly, he can help avoid them in the first place.
Jim has appeared as an expert witness at Community Board hearings in both New York and New Jersey, offering testimony on noise transmission, with regard to noise codes, residential impact issues, and other acoustical and vibration issues. He is fully conversant with all aspects of architectural acoustics, mechanical systems, noise and vibration control and environmental impact assessment.

Peter A. Babigian
Peter is a professional engineer and technology program/project manager with sustainable design experience on major construction projects on a national scale.
With over 20 years of experience, Peter is a versatile executive with expertise in strategic planning, technology design, budget and schedule management, procurement and contract administration for all technology areas with a specific focus on infrastructure systems supporting data centers, trading floors, and office facilities ranging from small scale fit-outs to multi-million square foot development projects and corporate relocations. He has served as principal-in-charge or lead technology consultant on major projects for leading financial institutions, media companies, government agencies, universities and corporate clients.
Peter is driven to satisfy technical requirements by developing strategic solutions that provide his clients with solutions that differentiate themselves through flawless execution of complex initiatives. A LEED accredited professional, Peter leverages an understanding of sustainable design practices to improve the delivery of technological requirements.

Albert Maniscalco
Albert provides a unique insight into developing practical, cost effective solutions to complicated problems. As Partner, Al manages engineering staff and projects in all aspects of acoustic and vibration consulting. The breadth of his project experience includes corporate/executive office facilities, healthcare facilities, design of clinical and research facilities with sensitive equipment (MRI, electron microscope, etc.), power generation and co-generation facilities, mechanical systems design, education and higher education facilities, and auditoria.

Christopher A. Peltier
Christopher is a professional engineer in environmental noise studies and architectural and mechanical noise control. His depth of experience encompasses a wide-range of work including mixed-use, residential and commercial projects, laboratories, convention centers, performing arts centers, corporate offices, fitness centers and educational facilities. He has also worked on product development spaces for West Coast-based technology companies which are sensitive to vibration.
One of the world’s top 10 experts in audio forensics, Christopher has published several journal articles addressing such topics as “Analysis Criteria for Forensic Musicology” which proposes scientific criteria for analyzing copyright infringement of published compositions and musical recordings.
Chris also has a background in IT and tele/data infrastructure and multimedia system design.

Brian Brustad
As Principal at Cerami, Brian serves as the head of our Washington, DC office. With 20 years background in technology and acoustic consulting, he is an expert in conferencing technology architecture, audiovisual system design, data/voice/AV infrastructure. Brian is a dedicated leader who delivers transformative and lasting change by creating a culture of accountability and process. He influences corporate direction and innovation by inspiring staff to tackle new challenges. Aside from being a professional in systems architecture and design, Brian is also San Francisco Giants fan and father of two!

Michael DiodatoCTS-D
As a Principal with over 25 years of experience, Michael has managed multi-discipline projects with a focus on audiovisual technology systems. His depth of experience encompasses a wide-range of work including corporate offices, educational facilities, and government facilities. As an expert in the industry, Michael has a proven track record of leadership, mentorship, team management, and program management.
Michael is a dedicated leader who delivers transformative and lasting change by creating a culture of accountability and process. He influences corporate direction and innovation by inspiring staff to tackle new challenges.
Michael’s background also encompasses physical security system design and consulting, IT, acoustics, and general technology consulting and planning.

John Hauenstein
John is an acoustical engineer who has made architectural acoustics and troubleshooting the focus of his work for more than 30 years. His pragmatic and innovative approach, dedication to client relationships, and talent for mentorship make him an invaluable leader of our firm.
As Principal of Cerami’s Site Assessments group, John oversees a wide range of residential, commercial, corporate, religious, and educational projects. He is skilled at helping clients achieve a better quality of life in their space through an engaging design process. John also draws upon his wealth of experience encountering real world noise and vibration issues, to deliver practical and thoughtful solutions to any project type.
John is the longest Cerami “boomerang”, having launched his career in 1987 under the direction of our founder Vito V. Cerami. Prior to returning to Cerami, John led his own successful acoustical consulting firm in New York City for 23 years. He is a recognized industry subject matter expert on acoustical and vibration control design.

Ron Provost
Ron is an experienced designer of technology infrastructure systems with extensive knowledge of cabling industry standards and practices and has 15+ years’ experience providing management of multi-million dollar network transport system installation projects for a wide variety of clients with an emphasis on financial institutions, trading environments, and other critical facilities.
Working closely with the client and the project team, Ron creates detailed telecommunication system designs based on both industry standards, as well as the established needs of each project. He is focused on providing strategic insight, especially on the impact of IP related convergence on IT infrastructure, and guidance on efficiencies and best practices.
As a project manager, Ron manages and supervises the bidding and installation process. A designated BICSI registered installer, Ron is able to leverage his past experience to ensure proper implementation of the design.
Ron also authored BICSI’s 1999 NEC guide for code officials.

Trish MIlls
Trish’s passion comes from helping others succeed in their careers. Taking her expertise beyond a traditional HR approach to a holistic one, she focuses on developing learning and mentorship opportunities for Cerami’s team members that are aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives.
Trish has seventeen years’ experience in human resources working in the engineering, real estate, and financial sectors for firm’s including BrianDavid Realtors, Bear Stearns, and Zurich Capital Markets. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Brookdale Community College and is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Management and Labor Relations from Rutgers University.

Dijana Fedyunina
Dijana serves as Controller and she is responsible for overall company financial operations.
Dijana brings more than 15 years of Finance and Business Management experience to Cerami, as the financial and operating executive.
Prior to joining Cerami, Dijana oversaw all aspect of finance in civil engineering, oil & gas industry and international banking.
Dijana holds Master of Science (MSc) in Economics, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Oil & Gas Management from Gubkin Russian State University.
She is involved with several professional organizations, including ACEC New York, CFO committee, and maintains her international status with Serbian Association of Economist, and CFO Association.

Carmen Danescu
Carmen has over 18 years of experience in project management and design for facilities of all types including residential developments, schools and universities, office buildings, airports, research laboratories, data centers and manufacturing. She brings with her particular expertise in the design of outside plant and building cabling systems, and physical security systems including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV surveillance, intercom and emergency telephones. Additionally, she is experienced in the design of intelligent building systems for residential and commercial facilities providing systems integration with centralized monitoring and control.
As project manager, Carmen works closely with clients from needs assessment and design to the evaluation and selection of vendors and contractors, and during construction including coordination with contractors, architects, construction managers, service providers and other trades and supervision and commissioning of installation.

John Carleo
John is a recognized leader in the technology field boasting over 15 years of experience in AV system design, infrastructure planning and development, project management, and team coordination.
John has a proven track record of delivering successful global business strategies, leading innovation for high profile media and entertainment organizations, and managing multi-million-dollar projects. His strong interpersonal skills allow him to liaise with clients and colleagues across multiple organizational levels resulting in robust relationships and repeat work.
As an engineer, John enjoys bringing his clients’ vision to life with design solutions that improve their businesses and enhance their overall quality of life. He guarantees client satisfaction by delivering cost-effective and agile solutions while maintaining high quality standards.
Prior to Cerami, John worked as an Executive Director of Multi-Media and Collaboration Technology at WarnerMedia. He directed all aspects of operations within corporate standards for services and solutions, while ensuring resources and organizational structure remained effective.

Benjamin K. Joseph
Benjamin Joseph has over ten years of experience in audiovisual consulting and project management. His experience includes projects in various markets, with the majority of those being corporate interiors projects. With a degree in electrical engineering and a background in pro audio systems, Benjamin is naturally adept at designing systems solutions that work.
Benjamin is considered an expert at problem solving and coming up with unique solutions to integrating AV equipment in challenging architectural designs. He is also extremely proficient in systems design and specification. With his extensive experience working for a variety of clients and architects, he is a team player that delivers consistently and on schedule.

Alexis D. KurtzINCE Bd. Cert, LEED AP
Alexis is recognized as an architectural acoustics, vibration control, and sustainable design expert who also leads multi-disciplinary design teams in technology-integrated projects. A trailblazer promoting the interdependence of acoustics and sustainability, she serves on expert panels and presents at conferences around the world. Honored as a National Peer, Alexis provides a critical voice in the formal review of all Federal government projects in GSA’s Design Excellence and the Arts Program. Over her 20-year consulting career, she has led and been a part of design teams for educational, cultural, and healthcare projects ranging from vibration-sensitive multi-disciplinary science labs to world-renowned concert halls and museums, sprawling international airports, and intimate but acoustically-challenging radio studios.

Justin Y. Lau
Justin is well versed in all areas of noise control, vibration and architectural acoustics which allows him to develop customized solutions that both achieve the acoustical performance needed for a space while also meeting specific client needs. Justin is also extremely proficient in the design and implementation of sound masking systems and is familiar with a wide range of solutions to meet client needs.
With over 10 years experience in the industry, Justin has earned a strong reputation for his neatly detailed sketches and calculations which result in even, measured solutions to the myriad of acoustical issues that can arise.
Justin is extremely proficient in acoustical prediction and analysis software including CATT Acoustics, AutoCAD, Noise Control Predictions, CADP2, and Microstation.

Adam Paolino
Adam is an acoustic consultant with 16 years of experience in Building/Architectural Acoustics and Electro-Acoustics design. His experience encompasses theatre and auitoria, retail, healthcare, aviation, transportation, industrial, and residential projects, with specialization in financial, commercial (corporate), mission critical, legal, and large scale mixed-use facilities. Adam works closely with clients from preliminary assessment through to detailed design and construction documentation.
Prior to Cerami, Adam was a Senior Acoustic Engineer and Manager of NDY Acoustics in Australia. His role has allowed him to liaise with clients on a professional level to develop relationships that have led to repeat work through understanding client needs and project specific constraints (design and financial) and providing quality, practical and buildable design solutions.
Adam also has a background in audio engineering design with project experience ranging from sporting arenas and public spaces to performance theatres. Adams involvement typically includes acoustic design and commissioning the systems.

Matthew Schaeffler
In his 10 years with Cerami, Matthew Schaeffler has managed many of the firm’s iconic projects, including The Greenwich Lane, Northwestern Mutual Headquarters, and 425 Park Avenue. As a leader in the Acoustical practice area, Matthew brings a passion for design and strong technical ability to deliver large scale, complex projects, with expertise in commercial core & shell, workplace, and residential developments. Among Matthew’s many contributions to Cerami, his leadership and talent for mentorship has contributed immensely to building our diverse and talented team. In a leadership role, Matthew drives Cerami’s continued growth, nurturing a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Steven Sinclair
Through 25+ years in the industry, mentoring in the news studio and engineering at two consulting firms, Steven has been honored in some capacity to project manage and engineer on hundreds of unique projects. These projects include large historical cathedrals to small country churches, large network operation centers to various government facilities, universities to elementary schools, as well as the traditional corporate meeting and collaboration spaces.
Through years of experience, earning industry certifications and through each unique project, Steven has gained a solid understanding of room acoustics speaker simulation, RTA software and system tuning, live sound, video distribution, collaboration technologies, conferencing and other similar technologies.
Steven is committed to continued learning and is passionate about what he does and endeavors to take each project to the highest level possible through vetted technologies that meet the unique needs of each client, user group, or invested person/group.
